Seija and Dave's Romantic Brickworks Wedding

The hustle and bustle of wedding season has come and gone, and I’ve been reflecting back on this incredible year. I know I say this often, but we really do get to work with the most wonderful couples. From the moment I met Seija and Dave, it was clear they were meant to be. The couple was truly beaming on their wedding day from start to finish. Not only was their day full of an abundance of happy tears, but it was also darn right pretty.

Mardi and Neil's Charming Cottage Wedding

Tent weddings can be the most challenging types of weddings to plan - but also the most rewarding, especially when the couple is as sweet as Mardi and Neil. I'll admit, the week of their wedding I was glued to the weather forecast - I was checking every weather app I could find on a constant rotation. It wasn't looking good . . . rain rain and then some more rain. But a few days before the wedding, the sun gods decided to come to our side and it ended up being the MOST glorious day.

The Blush Creative: Toronto Wedding Workshop

Have your ever had one of those moments in life where you look back and say “THANK THE STARS I said yes to this”??? Launching The Blush Creative, a Toronto wedding workshop, was one of those moments for me. My love of weddings, design, business and connecting with people face to face lead me to this new and exciting venture and has changed the trajectory of my career and life.I had a few (or daily) panic attacks about running this workshop. What was I thinking? How can I do this? Why will anyone care? These were just a few of the daily battles with my inner monologue. But my desire to help wedding entrepreneurs and connect with some wicked lady bosses was enough to drown the tireless moans of my mind. And my fear of launching the workshop actual became material to include in my sessions, in that you just have to FREAKING DO IT! Am I right? Just stop thinking/talking/planning and just do what excites you. So I did. And the result? Well it was the best weekend of my life since getting married.

Grace Loves Lace

There are some opportunities that come along in life where you just have to say heck yes. When the lovely people from Grace Loves Lace contacted me to style their upcoming concierge event, I knew instantly that I wanted to be apart of the project. I had been a big fan of the Australian wedding dress company for years. Grace Loves Lace is "for the woman of style, substance, and passion" and their style gravitates towards a modern, earthy, and relaxed vibe - which totally resonates with our tone over here at Blush + Bowties. So I knew this was a match made in heaven and the rest is history. This event is an exclusive, premium service that acts as a popup showroom, as they are predominantly an online based business. Their Toronto Concierge event, which took place at The Great Hall's Drawing Room, gave Canadian brides the chance to have a one hour appointment with a GLL Stylist so they can experience their collection and unique French laces first hand.

Jessica and Jeremy's 99 Sudbury Wedding

The moment I met Jessica and Jeremy, I just knew we were going to click. When it came to their 99 Sudbury wedding, they really had their priorities straight and were intent on making choices that felt right to them, and I feel like we totally achieved a wedding that reflected their personalties perfectly. I love how their wedding was full of unexpected elements, like their tablescape that included berries and fruit and their band setup inclusive of a string light backdrop, Persian rugs and vintage lighting. Their details, like geometric cardbox and large wooden framed seating chart, were simple and effective. 99 Sudbury was the perfect backdrop for their killer dance party (seriously check out the pics from their Hora!) and laid back boho style.
