Have your ever had one of those moments in life where you look back and say “THANK THE STARS I said yes to this”??? Launching The Blush Creative, a Toronto wedding workshop, was one of those moments for me. My love of weddings, design, business and connecting with people face to face lead me to this new and exciting venture and has changed the trajectory of my career and life.I had a few (or daily) panic attacks about running this workshop. What was I thinking? How can I do this? Why will anyone care? These were just a few of the daily battles with my inner monologue. But my desire to help wedding entrepreneurs and connect with some wicked lady bosses was enough to drown the tireless moans of my mind. And my fear of launching the workshop actual became material to include in my sessions, in that you just have to FREAKING DO IT! Am I right? Just stop thinking/talking/planning and just do what excites you. So I did. And the result? Well it was the best weekend of my life since getting married.

I was blown away by the talent, drive, and dedication of all of our attendees. As the 2 days workshop came to a close, I felt like I had just made a dozen new lasting friendships and connections. This workshop would also not have happened without 3 beautiful and talented humans: Scarlet O'Neill, Tellie Hunt, and Paige Boersma. Not only did we create something pretty magical together, but we grew close while planning this crazy/wonderful weekend together.

You may ask, what was my why in starting this workshop? Well I truly believe Toronto needs this workshop. I see a lot of wedding planners out there, some thriving but many struggling with focus, branding, and having a clear story and voice. I wanted to build a safe, supportive place for wedding entrepreneurs to not just figure out what it is they are doing but WHY! And how they can actually find a distinct style and approach to their business that will bring incredible value to their clients and a deep sense of meaning to their lives.

We had almost 20 hours of non-stop sessions, hands on styling, and connecting in the busy weekend. And I am so thankful to say that I feel like we really made a difference in the lives and businesses of those who attended. I am so excited to share these photos by Scarlet O'Neill, but first . . .
