Toronto Wedding Planner

It’s been over three years since launching Blush + Bowties, and I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life (along with marrying my husband and getting our dog). On this little blog of mine I talk a lot about beautiful wedding decor, amazing venues in the city, tips on how to have a seamless wedding day, and generally wonderful things about working as a Toronto wedding planner. We have a lovely little write up in our about section on Blush + Bowties' website, but I wanted to dive in and let you know a little more about the company, what we stand for, and what makes us unique.

Effortless Aesthetic

We love working with all types of different wedding styles, but the weddings we design all have a focus on effortless, natural beauty. It’s about not looking like you’re trying too hard (which actually takes a lot of planning and skill to achieve). The details needs to flow into one another seamlessly. It’s stylish vs tacky and complementary vs matchy matchy. The wedding could be bold and bright or neutral and minimal, but the details we bring into the day have an effortless aesthetic to them. It’s visual storytelling that is meaningful, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with a focus on natural beauty.

Design

At Blush + Bowties, we are not just wedding planners but also wedding designers. I have a background in the arts, so curating thoughtful and incredibly stylish weddings is what gets me up everyday. It's what makes me tick. As a team we are dedicated to the art of wedding design and pushing ourselves to look for innovative ways to make a wedding’s aesthetic come to life. Finding harmony and balance when curating a wedding design is essential, and we look at each small piece to ensure there is an organic flow to the look of each wedding.

Location with Character

When it comes to location, it’s all about character, and being a Toronto wedding planner, we really have the cream of the crop to choose from. When it comes to location we gravitate towards spaces that really have an interesting vibe. For us, it’s all about getting creative and thinking outside the banquet hall box.

Authenticity

Over the years and having planned well over 50 wedding now, myself and the Blush + Bowties team have developed a keen desire to ensure the weddings we help with are authentic to the couple. What does this mean? It means making sure that each choice reflects the couple’s taste and story. We like to break the rules a bit here at Blush + Bowties. For example, the traditional wedding cake. Now don’t get me wrong, a wedding cake can be a lovely element to add to your day, if it means something to you, but lately many of our clients just aren’t feeling it. If you aren’t feeling it, don’t include it in your wedding. That goes for favours, overly long speeches, choreographed first dances, and anything that feels inauthentic to you and your partner. This is defining value of Blush + Bowties and the guidance we pass onto our couples.

Experience

Weddings are expensive, can be stressful, and take a whole lot of time to execute. So why do couples host a wedding, opposed to hopping on over to city hall and making it official? When thinking about the why in weddings, I always come back to this word - experience. Every trip we take, nice dinner out, or party we throw is about experience. The food, atmosphere, company, music all play a part in this experience. A wedding is that once-in-a-lifetime experience to create a joyous occasion to celebrate with your very best friends and family.

Blush + Bowties feels like apart of who I am, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be a Toronto wedding planner and run a company I feel so proud of and work with a team of incredible and talented ladies.
