5 Ways to De-Stress Before Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is a truly exciting time. So much time, planning, and energy goes into one day. If you are feeling a little nervous and anxious the days before your wedding, you are not alone. Here are 5 ways to settle those nerves so you are rested and calm for your wedding day.

1. Surround yourself with friends

I don't know about you, but my friends always make me feel a heck of a lot calmer when I am feeling stressed. The days before my wedding were spent with my best girl friends, and it was such an incredible and memorable time. I remember a lot of "Magic Mike" and a lot of pizza. They provided me so much support and kept me from obsessing too much about the wedding and instead encouraged me to just focus on one of the happiest times in my life.


2. Remember the "Why"

I get it. You want everything to be perfect on your wedding day. But in the days before your wedding, I really think it's important for couples to relish and remember the "why" of this amazing crazy exciting celebration. It's to get married and celebrate the love you share. Keeping the "why" in mind will help put everything in perspective and focus on what is important.

3. Pamper Yourself

The days before your wedding are meant for pampering! Spend a whole day at the spa just relaxing and feeling totally taken care of. There is a lot to be said about tranquil music and someone massaging your worries away. Before you know it those wedding day jitters will be melting away.


4. Trust Your Vendors

Odds are, you have hired amazing vendors to be part of your day who are going to take care of everything for you. All these people who are helping make your wedding day possible have one desire at heart, to make sure you have the most fabulous day. So trust that they are going to take care of you and help run your wedding so that you can sit back and enjoy your wedding to the fullest.

5. Connect with your Partner

I have this really amazing memory before my husband's and my wedding. We were a few days away from the big day, and I was stressing. What did we forget? What if the florist doesn't show up? What if I spill wine on my dress? I remember Adam was so amazing and supportive. He gave me this big hug and was able to make me feel like everything was going to be alright. He totally cleared my mind of any worries and allowed me to focus back on the excitement and happiness opposed to the stress and nerves. I encourage you to find this same support in your partner if you are feeling anxious before your wedding.
