Service Spotlight: Customized Projects
Life has been very exciting and extremely busy the last few months with a whirlwind of fantastic weddings to plan and lovely couples to work with. The role of wedding planner perfectly combines my organizational expertise and creative abilities. I’ve always felt I have a good balance between a type A and B personality. I am ambitious, organized, and punctual, yet have a reflective nature, love of the arts, and can easily get lost in a creative project for hours. During this very busy season, my creative skills have been called upon numerous times. I’ve drawn chalkboard menus, welcome signs, and programmes; designed and hand made menus and guestbook cards; painted and antiqued frames, shutters, and window panels; and expanded my floral skills arranging bouquets and a colourful planter box centrepiece.
I thought it was time to do a little spotlight on a service I offer to my clients called “Customized Projects.” For this service, clients cover the cost of the materials needed, and I charge for the labour. It includes sourcing, designing, and creating specialized projects such as hand-made seating charts, table numbers, guestbooks, signage, menus, centrepieces, and favours.
Here are a few of my favourite customized projects from this wedding season:
