A Few of My Favourite Things

As a Toronto wedding planner, I am surrounded by beautiful things all the time. I am one lucky gal. A single object can inspire an entire wedding vision. It’s no secret that I am a fan of beautiful things. My home is my happy place, and I love to fill it with pretty treasures and objects. If you are in the midst of planning a wedding and are feeling a little lost with your vision, take a look at how you decorate your home. Make a list of your favourite things and use this as a jumping off point for you wedding design. Here is a little peak into what I love most.

Quartz

Earthly and divine, gemstones have always been a favourite of mine.

Periwinkle Please

Anyone who knows me will understand my happy obsession with periwinkle. It’s not blue . . . it’s not purple . .  . it’s perfect periwinkle (I am a nerd)!!

French Country

The natural palette and refined rusticity of  the French Country style makes my heart go boom.

Lilac

The scent of lilac reminds me of fond memories and my childhood (we had a lilac tree in our backyard).

Rifle Paper

Husband and wife team,  Nathan and Anna Bond, launched Rifle Paper in 2009. Their floral stationery has taken over my home office. I am a little obsessed.

My Husband Adam and Dog Watson

How could I leave these 2 treasures off my list? They may have not been purchased in a store, or display nicely on the table, but my husband Adam and dog Watson will always be on my favourite things list.

Collecting and displaying objects over the years has encouraged me to define my style and taste, as well as develop a keen eye for wedding design. So next time you’re dusting your shelves, rummaging through your jewelry box, or enjoying the atmosphere of your home, don’t forget to take a closer look at the design inspiration you are already living with.
