2014 Wedding Trends Part 1

It’s only 7 weeks until the ball drops and 2013 comes to a close. As 2014 approaches so too do new and exciting wedding trends. Every week between now and New Years, I will be revealing my top picks for everything and anything to do with weddings in the upcoming year. 2014 promises to be the year of the dramatic veil. There really is nothing that says “bridal” more emphatically than a veil, and with all the options available, there is sure to be one to suit everyone’s style. A cathedral veil is grand and elegant, while a blusher is retro and chic. Discover what works for you … dare to be dramatic!

VEILS

Hair embellishments, another fantastic trend to keep your eye on, are also very versatile. With so many options to choose from, they are a great alternative for the bride who doesn’t want to wear a veil. Hair embellishments can accent any style you desire and add that little something extra that will pull your whole look together. A crystal headband is a stunning accessory for a long wavy mane. A draped chain over hair is organic and bohemian. Or perhaps a feather fascinator is the bold and beautiful choice for your big day.

HAIR

The braided do is a big yes for wedding hairstyles in 2014. Innocent and fresh, and adaptable for any bride, a braid can be styled as romantic, elegant, or modern. If you are going for the ethereal goddess look, then the braided crown is for you. Want to show off your long luscious locks? Why not try a braided half-up, half-down style. Yearning for an elegant updo that isn’t too severe? A braided bun is chic and sophisticated creating textured romance that will make your partner swoon.

BRAIDS

The great part about trends is that you can adapt them to you and your style. Just because something is trendy doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own. Don’t forget to check in next week as I continue to countdown my top 2014 Wedding Trends.
